Meet the Second Lady

Born and raised in Kingsport Tennessee, Sindy Ramsey is the wife of Lt. Governor Ron Ramsey and mother to their three daughters, Tiffany, Sheena and Madison. A devoted wife and mother, Sindy Ramsey’s work has always extended beyond the boundaries of home.

The Second Lady is very involved in her community and donates a vast amount of her time to various charitable causes. Mrs. Ramsey is a founding member and past President of the Bristol Chapter of Speedway Children’s Charities. She is a past executive and advisory board member of the Sullivan County chapter of the Court Appointed Special Advocate Association (CASA), a nonprofit network supporting and promoting court appointed volunteer advocacy for abused and neglected children. Mrs. Ramsey has also co-chaired the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life.

In addition to her charity work, Mrs. Ramsey is an integral part of the lieutenant governor’s auction and real estate business.

While she is often hesitant to discuss the true scope of her role in the company, she has reluctantly admitted to being the detail oriented manager behind her “big picture guy” husband who often keeps the day-to-day operations of the business running smoothly.

The lieutenant governor is able to train his focus on the business of the state of Tennessee knowing his family business is in the capable hands of his better half.

Mrs. Ramsey has also been active in many local Republican women’s groups and served as chairwoman of the Sullivan County GOP’s Reagan Day dinner for four years.

Committed to her faith, Mrs. Ramsey involves herself also with her church community, serving as the coordinator of the vacation bible school at Elizabeth Chapel United Methodist Church.

Ramsey is a graduate of East Tennessee State University. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in applied arts and sciences with a concentration in business in 1979.
